Out On A Limb- 07 NFC East Predictions
Patrick has been waiting very patiently for me to grab my sack and make some predictions for the upcoming NFL season, so starting today, I am beginning my divinations, starting with the NFC East.
MY OFFICIAL 2007 NFC EAST PREDICTIONS
Dallas Cowboys 10-6
They could very well fall flat on their faces in the playoffs again, but even though they don't excel in any area, they don't have glaring weaknesses in any area either. They are also blessed with a pretty soft road schedule (Miami, Buffalo, Detroit, hello!).
Philadelphia Eagles 10-6
I think they are just a shade better than the Cowboys, but trips to New England and New Orleans both look like losses, and roadies against the Packers and Jets won't be a picnic either.
Washington Redskins 7-9
They are helped by a very soft non-divisional home schedule. Miami, Detroit, Arizona, and Buffalo are all home games they should win.
NY Giants 7-9
So long, Tom Coughlin.

Hmm something seems wrong with those predictions. A very balanced grouping.. 2 teams with 10 wins and 2 with 7. I guess you know something about the Skins that we don't know, like they signed Ditka as QB and offensive coordinator.
I'll wait to pass judgment as long as all the other worst NFC teams don't all have 7 wins each, then I'll scream.
Washington went 2-4 in the NFC East last year, when they were REAL bad.. so, they'll get 2 wins this year probably....they also have home games against Miami, Detroit, Arizona, and Buffalo this year...they'll win at least 6...I've got them at 7 b/c I figure they will beat either Tampa or Minnesota on the road...you have to look at the schedule when you make these predictions..it means everything..
schedule?!? schedule?!?

uhh yea.. they won't beat Buffalo, and Arizona is a tossup salad.
I don't care if everyone in the stadium is dressed like Ms. Piggy, they will not defeat the Buffalos.
If you love the Bills so much why don't you marry them..
I will be laughing laughing laughing once your predictions show the impossibility of more wins than losses for the 32 teams over the course of 16 games.
Whats next? The Raiders will go 8-8 because of a favorable schedule?
If the Skins go 7-9, consider me Miles Davis.
dont laugh too hard...im not adding up whether everything comes out exactly even in wins and losses...
i've got the redskins winning 2 more games than last year, which i think i s fair given their starting rb and #1 wr were both hurt for a lot of last year, and they were starting an essentially rookie qb for most of the season..
i've got the eagles at the same record, the cowboys one better than last year, and the giants one worse...if i were to revise anything i'd put the giants at 6-10 instead of 7-9...that would give the division the same w/l record as last year...there..happy now??
Ahh hah. Made you change your pics.
The NFC East is shaping up to be one strong division in 2007. Shocking. Do you work for ESPN?
