BWAHAA..."French Clubs" overlaid against "clubs no one cares about"..that is awesome....
this is interesting b/c you have the same thing going on in major league baseball right now, and its going to lead to the amateur draft being expanded to a worldwide draft in the very near future..
let's face it...85% of the soccer clubs in the world are there to play Washington Generals to the Harlem Globetrotters of the megaclubs..seriously as an American I can't figure out what motivation there is to be a fan of say, Bolton Wanderers....what is their mission statement? to not get relegated? to qualify for the second tier European tournament?...I place their relevance as somewhere above the Pittsburgh Pirates and below the Detroit Lions...
